All of the suspects were masked and wearing hooded sweatshirts. They were not found and remain at large.

PLEASANTON, CA — A jewelry store at the Stoneridge Shopping Center in Pleasanton was robbed by at least five suspects Monday night, police officials said. The suspects entered the Diamond Ring Company at about 8:20 p.m., and while one of the suspects used pepper spray on an employee, several other suspects tried to smash the display cases using a hammer.

Police said the suspects left the business and fled in two cars waiting nearby. Other than the exposure to the chemical agent, no one was injured in the incident, according to police.

Investigators do not yet know exactly how many suspects participated in the robbery but they estimate that between five to eight people took part. All of the suspects were masked and wearing hooded sweatshirts. Two dark-colored four-door sedans were associated with the robbery.
