Thank You East Bay Stand Down Volunteers

A thank you for all the volunteers who helped at the East Bay Stand Down

PLEASANTON, CA — The East Bay Stand Down, which was held September 15-18, at the Alameda County fairgrounds, was a huge success because of the over 3000 volunteers who poured their lives into helping our veterans.

These veterans, over 400 of them, received medical and dental care, eye exams and glasses, legal assistance, access to so many of our community service providers, DMV, Social Security, and counseling through the Vet Center to name a few. They were provided great food, entertainment, hair cuts, messages, chiropractic care, clothing, shoes, hygiene, sleeping bags as well as dog and equine therapy. The Red Cross provided coffee 24 hours a day.

There were so many people and agencies that came together for this wonderful cause and it would not have been possible without our sponsors and volunteers. Check out our website - eastbaystanddown.org.
