DUBLIN, CA — A Dublin man claiming to be unemployed had a Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Cadillac SUV, in addition to several pounds of illegal drugs, eight firearms, according to Dublin Police Services.

Kevin Reese, 55, is currently in custody and charged with several felonies, including possession of an assault weapon, money laundering, and possession of drugs while armed with a loaded firearm, according to DPS Captain Miguel Campos.
Dublin police served a search warrant to the 10800 block of Inspiration Circle on Tuesday, the department said. Inside the garage, they allegedly found:

  • 5.5 pounds of cocaine
  • Psilocybin mushrooms
  • MDMA
  • Anabolic steroids
  • Three rifles, three handguns, and two shotguns
  • Luxury jewelry police described as being worth hundreds of thousands of dollars

Campos estimated the total street value of the drugs to be around $200,000, and noted that the firearms were legally owned. Police allege that Reese claimed to be unemployed, but had three cars estimated to retail for a total of $800,000. Reese was also charged with false declaration to receive health benefits, currency structuring, and a number of narcotics distribution charges.

As of Friday, Reese is being held without bail at Santa Rita Jail, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Inmate Locator.

“The resident reported being unemployed. That’s not a side hustle. That’s a full-time felony,” DPS said in a post. “In all seriousness, this case highlights the connection between narcotics trafficking, illegal firearms, and the threat they pose to community safety. Removing these drugs and weapons from our neighborhoods makes Dublin safer for everyone.”
