VIDEO: Veterans History Project Interviews in Pleasanton
Local veterans record oral histories for the Library of Congress.
Congresman Jerry McNerney (D-Pleasanton) held a recording session for local veterans May 28 for the Veterans History Project.
The project collects and preserves oral histories of American war veterans through video and audio. The recordings will eventually be turned over to the Library of Congress.
Local high school students in the Tri-Valley Regional Occupational Program conducted the interviews.

Bill Green, a resident of Alamo and a Vietnam veteran, was among those who participated.
"It's an important project," said Green. "It gives future generations a chance to hear the feelings and the thoughts of veterans and how they served in their time of duty,"
