Sig-Alert On I-680 Cancelled After Wreck, Car Fire

Although the sig-alert has been lifted, the morning drive was ruined.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — The California Highway Patrol has cancelled a Sig-Alert for southbound Interstate Highway 680 near Sheridan Road in Alameda County. A collision and car fire was reported at 5 a.m. The wreck had blocked several lanes on the busy freeway.

Meanwhile, drivers who took I-580 in an attempt to avoid the crash were stymied by a big-rig crash and sig-alert in Castro Valley.

Friday was definitely a great day to work from home.
