The Nighthawk project, using safer LFP battery technology, can power hundreds of thousands of homes during peak demand and brought more than 130 construction jobs plus new partnerships with Poway-area nonprofits.

• Poway Unified relocates Del Sur students to Stone Ranch as crews manage mold, moisture concerns (cbs8.com) — Families in Poway Unified should prepare for Del Sur Elementary students to attend Stone Ranch Elementary from August 24 through at least September 18 while crews finish tackling moisture and mold issues. District officials say extensive cleaning, air treatment and independent testing are underway, and the extra month-long relocation is meant to ensure classrooms are safe before anyone returns.
