Boy Scout Seeks To Save South OC High School's Chicken Flock
The Tesoro High School student is going above and beyond to raise funds for a new coop to house the chickens living at his school.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — A south Orange County Boy Scout is using his Eagle Scout project to better his high school.
Tesoro High School student Victor Fowler told Patch that he plans to build a brand new chicken coop to house the flock of chickens living in his school's Sustainability Garden — and he needs the community's help to purchase lumber, hardware and paint for his mission.
Victor saw the need for a new home for the birds after the current chicken coop became infested with rodents.

"Unfortunately, their current chicken coop is dilapidated and rodents have snuck in, compromising the chickens," Victor told Patch. "It's no longer safe for them."
Victor asked for the community's help in his mission to #SaveTheChickens via GoFundMe donations. All donations will go straight toward purchasing supplies to construct the new coop.

"These chickens are an important part of the learning experience at Tesoro," he said. "[And] Tesoro cannot afford to build them a new coop."
