Fire Destroys Rancho Santa Margarita Home

A Rancho Santa Margarita family has been displaced by a fire that tore through the bedrooms of their two-story home.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA A two-alarm fire caused extensive damage to the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms of a two-story home in Rancho Santa Margarita today.

“It’s uninhabitable,” said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi.

Three adults and one child were displaced by the blaze, he said.

Firefighters were dispatched just before 6 a.m. to the 32000 block of Lazy Glen Lane, and they had the fire out just before 7 a.m., Concialdi said. No injuries were reported, he said, and the structure had no working smoke alarms. The fire’s cause was under investigation.
