HazMat Incident On Oso Parkway Sends 1 To Hospital
BREAKING: A worker in a pool-service truck became ill while driving and called 911, officials said.
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA – A pool maintenance man called 911 when he fell ill while driving his work truck in the Wagon Wheel/Cota de Caza area, sending him to the hospital and prompting a hazardous materials alert.
Orange County Fire Authority officials were called at 9:54 a.m., said OCFA Capt. Larry Kurtz.
"He was feeling nauseous and dizzy and pulled over to the side and called 911,'' Kurtz said. "We actually had to triangulate his location through his cell phone to find him.''

The man, who is in his 30s, was taken to an area hospital, Kurtz said.
Authorities shut down Oso Parkway at Solano to examine the chemicals on the pickup truck to see if perhaps some of them mixed together and sickened the vehicle's driver, Kurtz said.

Kurtz said he expected the situation to be cleared by approximately 11:45 a.m. to 12 noon.
