Muzzled Dog Rescued After Wandering South Orange County Streets For 3 Days
The underweight dog is currently receiving medical treatment after being rescued by Mission Viejo Animal Services officers.
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — A young dog that had been muzzled and wandering the streets of Rancho Santa Margarita for three days was safely captured by Mission Viejo Animal Services officers Wednesday.
The dog, named "Robinson" by Mission Viejo Animal Services staff after the area he was captured in, is currently undergoing medical evaluation and treatment at a local veterinarian.

The German Shepard mix was spotted around Robinson Ranch Road Wednesday, authorities said.

After receiving the report, Mission Viejo Animal Services officers began tracking the underweight dog and setting up tracks before organizing an effort to find and safely capture him.
“We were very concerned for this dog’s welfare … since he was muzzled, he couldn’t eat, drink or defend himself,” said Mission Viejo Animal Services Supervisor Kyle Werner “We have a lot of questions for the dog’s owner as to how he ended up in this situation.”
