Holy Jim Canyon Fire Crews Respond To Burn Area
Orange County Fire Authority helicopters, and Orange County Sheriff's Department Duke used night vision to detect the smoldering vegetation.

TRABUCO CANYON, CA — Orange County Fire Authority responded to reports of trees burning in the area of Trabuco Creek late Wednesday.
Firefighters responded to reports of trees burning to find stumps smoldering deep inside the burned area of the Holy Fire, OCFA Capt. Tony Bommarito said.
Helicopters, both OCFA Chopper 1 and OCSD Duke 1, detected the burn with night vision, according to Bommarito.

With no wind, and units are making access, he said. Crews will remain on fire watch through the night to ensure there are no additional flare-ups.
The area was well within the burn scar from previous Holy Jim Fire activity, according to Bommarito's report. "There is no threat to the surrounding area as there is no vegetation left to burn."
