A Guide to the Redlands Summer Music Festival

The season kicks off June 24

School’s coming to an end, the days are getting hotter, and the sun is shining longer. That means just one thing: it’s summer! One of the season’s greatest traditions is the Redlands Summer Music Festival, which is free, open to everyone and held outdoors in one of the Inland Empire’s most beautiful venues, the Redlands Bowl

All programs take place on Tuesday, Friday, or select Saturdays, starting at 8:15 p.m. On certain Tuesdays, Community Sing is held before the program. Food and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed in, and concessions are available for purchase as well. Ushers will help people to their open seating, as well as pass around donation buckets during intermission. Free parking is no longer available in the garage of the Redlands Mall, but patrons can still park on the streets surrounding the Bowl.

Friday, June 24: The San Bernardino Symphony presents “Pop Dreams 2011,” conducted by Frank Paul Fetta. James Darren, who has performed on numerous television shows and films, will sing along to some of the great American standards and his own pieces.
