Bicycle Shop Near Redlands, Loma Linda is Liquidating $1M Merchandise
The owner of California Cyclery & Supply Riverside Schwinn says he's received notice he may have to move out.

A bicycle shop owner near Loma Linda and Redlands has received notice he may have to vacate his family business in Riverside, and he is trying to sell off more than $1 million in merchandise, he said Wednesday.
"We got a letter 2 to 3 weeks ago saying we might have to be out within as little as 30 days," Joe Klure, 52, said in a phone interview. "We're trying to liquidate more than a million dollars worth of bikes, accessories, and merchadise.
"If anyone's looking for anything they should come on down," Klure said. "It's a 6,000-square-foot store and we use every inch of space, so we have bikes on the ceiling and everywhere else. We're a family bike shop. We sell everything from tricycles to $10,000 road and mountain bikes."

Klure said he is uncertain exactly when he will have to move California Cyclery & Supply Riverside Schwinn out of its location on Central Avenue. The business has been there 45 years, Klure said.
"We know we have to receive a written notice to vacate, and we have not received that yet," Klure said. "Right now it's just day-to-day."

Business has been down in the recent economic downturn, Klure told the Press-Enterprise recently. The shop sold $12,000 to $20,000 a day during its peak, but sales have dropped to $5,000 or $6,000 a day, Klure said.
