Estrada Strategies Seminars Offer Valuable Training to Entrepreneurs

Today's business environment can be confusing to the sole entrepreneur who is dealing with tighter credit, smaller budgets and changing technology. That is why it is important that entrepreneurs continue to educate themselves about the business world. 

Realizing the need for entrepreneur education, Estrada Strategies, an Ontario-based company that provides coaching to executives at small and mid-sized businesses, has partnered with the City of San Bernardino, Economic Development Agency’s Office of Business Development to host a series of seminars for entrepreneurs. 

According to Ruben Estrada, president and founder of Estrada Strategies, the workshops will focus on key areas selected by business owners such as branding, human resources and Internet marketing. 

"Business owners constantly need to enhance their acumen," Estrada said."In business, it's often what you don't know that gets in the way of your success."

He added that Estrada Strategies coaching sessions usually cost thousands of dollars, but these workshops are free.

Lori Tillery, San Bernardino Economic Development Agency economic development manager, said the Estrada Strategies workshop series is a great opportunity for Inland Empire entrepreneurs to learn from professional coaches who work with top-level executives.

"Many business owners run one-man or small shops, so they can always benefit from the advice of executive coaches, who have decades of experience in the business world," Tillery said.

The next Estrada Strategies workshop, focusing on what entrepreneurs need to know about Human Resources, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 13. The seminar will be taught by CEO Coach Steve Lynn, who has more than 25 years experience managing and growing a large retail company.

Lynn said that HR is a hugely unappreciated area for entrepreneurs.  "As my company grew to more than 30 employees, the knowledge, education, and understanding of rules and guidelines needed to keep it running made HR a complex job," Lynn said. "Whether owning a large or small business, not many business owners find their business acumen up to speed or competent in all the elements of HR. "
