Garage doors are to a house, what a smile is to a face, but few people give much thought to them.

“For many homes, garage doors make up 30 percent or more of a property’s street view and often serve as the main focal point,” said Lance Little, president at Overhead Door Company of the LA Basin. “An attractive garage door is one of the easiest and least expensive investments a homeowner can make to boost a home’s value in today’s housing market.”
According to a recent study by Remodeling magazine, a high-quality garage door can earn an 84 percent average return on investment. During the last decade, garage door manufacturers have introduced a variety of new styles, colors and materials to help homeowners boost the value and appearance of their home.

The ugly garage door contest is offering local homeowners in all areas of Southern California, including Redlands and Mira Loma, a chance to upgrade their old, shabby doors with a high-quality garage door.
Homeowners may visit www.OverheadCenters.com/Contest to enter the contest, which ends on Sept. 5, Labor Day.
“There are hundreds of southland homeowners that would greatly benefit from a new garage door, and we encourage all homeowners in Southern California to participate for a chance to win a free garage door,” Little said.
