Why Go: This is no stuffy symphony concert, The Redlands Symphony performs music from the scores of Hollywood space movies such as "Star Wars" and "2001: A Space Odyssey." A preconcert lecture with the conductor begins at 7:15 p.m.

Why Go: This dog park features separate areas for large and small dogs and also doggie drinking fountains.

When/Where: 2 p.m. Sunday at the University of Redlands Memorial Chapel, 1200 E Colton Ave, Redlands

Why Go: The university is well known for its music program and the President’s Honor Recital showcases those musicians who won their music school’s fall auditions. This concert will feature some amazingly talented people.
