Last Chance: Film Fest for Earth Fans Nears

The Banff Mountain Film Fest shows off the talents of nature filmmakers. You have today and Tuesday to reserve your tickets.

We're introducing a fun new feature we're calling "Last Chance" that we hope will help the community remember some great and important events they may not want to miss.

We're kicking off Last Chance with something for people who enjoy nature.

Time is running out for nature fans to reserve a spot for this year’s Banff Mountain Film Fest.

The event, presented locally by the San Gorgonio Wilderness Association, features films on kayaking, mountain climbing, biking and more, organizers said.

The fest runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fox Events Center in Redlands, 123 Cajon St. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $15 each and will be held at will call. Beer and wine will be available.

The screenings are part of the Banff World Tour. About 25 films are chosen to be featured in the event. The films feature a range of styles and themes on a variety of topics, such as climbing, skiing, kayaking, biking, adventure, culture and the environment, organizers said.

The tour showcases the work of some of talented mountain filmmakers, organizers said. The world tour was created by the Canadian-based Banff Centre.
