Redlands Dance Instructors Spice Up Joint Chambers Mixer in the Pass

Marcia and Drew Rodriguez of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio on Orange Tree Lane in Redlands put on a salsa clinic.

Dance instructors from Redlands and eager students added extra spice to a Banning-Beaumont joint chambers of commerce of mixer Thursday evening in Beaumont.

The mixer was held at the Mieneke Car Care Center and EconoLube on East 6th Street, and a Mieneke technician-mechanic won first place in a salsa dance-off among the students.

Then Marcia and Drew Rodriguez of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio on Orange Tree Lane in Redlands put on a salsa clinic in which the only thing missing was mambo legend Tito Puente on the timbales.

Sheri Bogh, executive director of the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, and Joni Taylor, executive director of the Banning Chamber of Commerce, enjoyed the dancing and the company of numerous local business owners and residents.

Employees from Frijoles of Beaumont brought tacos, quesadillas, taquitos, chips and salsa to feed everyone.
