Redlands Theatre Festival starts July 8
Performances take place at Prospect Park.
The Redlands Theatre Festival will kick off its latest season July 8 with Nunsense.
This year’s schedule also includes Moliere’s The Miser, Becky’s New Car, Radio Gals and Greater Tuna.
Nunsense is a musical comedy starring nuns who create their own greeting card line. The Miser, a comedy of manners, features a moneylender living in 17th century France and his children, who yearn to leave him. The clever Becky’s New Car follows a married woman who has her hands full with a job, her husband of 28 years, and her twenty-something son who is studying psychology and living in her basement.

Radio Gals, set in the 1920s, features a retired music teacher who begins broadcasting her own radio station. Greater Tuna is the first in a series of four comedies that take place in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas. It’s a satirical look at small town Southern living.
The festival is held at Prospect Park’s amphitheater, with each performance starting promptly at 8:30 p.m. Patrons are welcome to bring picnic dinners to eat on the grass surrounding the amphitheater. The amphitheater is uphill, and for those who wish not to walk, free trolley rides are provided after 6:30 p.m.
