Traffic Alert: Brookside Ave. to Close for Repaving Project

Only a half mile stretch of roadway will be affected by the construction, but detours will likely slow traffic in the area.

The following was submitted for publication by the City of Redlands:

On Thursday, July 25, the eastbound lane of Brookside Avenue between San Mateo Street and Center Street will be closed for repaving between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. During this time, traffic will be detoured onto Olive Avenue.

Parking will be restricted on Brookside Avenue during the construction. Affected residents along Brookside will have access to their property. Signs will be posted 72 hours in advance of repaving indicating parking restrictions.

The City Council awarded the contract for construction of the Brookside Avenue and Ash Street Pipeline Replacement Project to Miramontes Construction Co., Inc. on May 7, 2013.  The project is funded by revenues from the City’s Water Division. No General Fund dollars will be used to construct this project.
