Winners of CSUSB band competition concludes Summer Wednesdays concert series July 31

San Bernardino, Calif. -Β As a fitting conclusion to Cal State San Bernardino’s annual series of free summer outdoor concerts, winners of the university’s local band competition will give a passionate and celebratory performance to send off the summer season.

In the fifth and final week of the 2013 season of Summer Wednesdays concert series, the winner and runner-up of the Howlin’ Yote band competition will perform on July 31.

The band competition is sponsored by CSUSB’sΒ Coyote RadioΒ station, which showcases local artists and bands from the Inland Empire. With listenership topping 16,000 people per month, Coyote Radio runs 24 hours per day. In 2009, MTV ranked Coyote Radio as the best Internet college radio station in the country, providing local artists with the spotlight they deserve and the radio station’s employees with unlimited professional opportunities.

CSUSB students will vote for their favorite group or artist in the β€œGreatest Inland Empire Artist” contest. The winner and runner-up will give their performances during the Summer Wednesdays concert, which will be broadcast live onΒ Coyote Radio.
