• Burglars Hit Same Redondo Beach Store 2 Nights In A Row (patch.com) — Redondo Beach residents are being alerted after South Bay Hardware on Artesia Boulevard was burglarized on two consecutive nights in June, with suspects forcing their way inside and stealing merchandise. Police have arrested a 24-year-old Los Angeles woman, recovered evidence during a Long Beach search, and are asking anyone with information to contact the Redondo Beach Police Department tip line.
   

• Beachgoers Seek Relief from the Heat, High Bacteria Levels in Water (mynewsla.com) — If you're heading into the water near Redondo Beach, avoid the ocean at Sapphire Street, where high bacteria levels triggered a health warning, but note that Redondo Beach Pier and Avenue I have just been cleared. County health officials say recent tests there now meet state standards, and residents can check the 24-hour beach hotline or online map for updates.
