Director Michael Keith Allen shares how the seven "Unexpected Guest"-themed plays were chosen, staged in-the-round, and tied together, while the company also searches for a new Beach Cities home as its lease ends next spring.
   

• South Bay History: Clifton-by-the-Sea took the long way to becoming part of Redondo Beach (dailybreeze.com) — A once-separate coastal development called Clifton-by-the-Sea, now known as South Redondo and "The Avenues," was slowly annexed into Redondo Beach over much of the 20th century. The report details his long history of alcohol-related and other offenses, ICE's criticism of sanctuary-style non-cooperation, and the man's own admission that his drinking contributed to his situation.
