• Suspect bites off piece of police dog's ear (avpress.com) — A tense standoff at a Redondo Beach home ended when a barricaded suspect bit a police dog named Wouter, tearing off part of the K-9's ear. The injured dog was treated at an animal hospital and is recovering, while police have not yet released details about the suspect's original charges or any new counts related to the attack.
