Cannery Row Studios Hosts Opening Reception for 'Rock Seen: 30 Years of Images by Don Adkins'

Cannery Row Studios in Redondo Beach hosts a new exhibit!

There are so many teriffic events happening this coming weekend that I've decided to showcase a different event each day this week. Of course, they'll all be featured in my Weekend Guide, but that doesn't come out until Thursday so this will give you a head start!

is hosting a new exhibit “Rock Seen: 30 Years of Rock Images by Don Adkins.”

Adkins is a Redondo Beach-based photographer, with the majority of his work revolving around the world of rock music, both in the studio and on stage for a variety of clients and publications.

His work includes images of Elton John, Iggy Pop, U2, Genesis, David Byrne, Sammy Hagar, Stevie Nicks, Bon Jovi, Peter Gabriel, Jackson Browne, Alanis Morrisette and many others.

The opening reception takes place Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibit runs through Sept. 17.

Cannery Row Studios is located at 604 West Francisca in Redondo Beach and is the last remaining bit of the Bohemian Art Scene in the South Bay.  

Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 7 p.m.
