Rock Seen: 30 Years of Rock Images by Don Adkins
Cannery Row Studios presents 'Rock Seen: 30 Years of Rock Images by Don Adkins.'
I attended the opening reception last night of the new photography exhibit at Cannery Row Studios, "Rock Seen: 30 Years of Rock Images by Don Adkins."
How the years fly by when you're having fun! I was stunned by the portraits, but even more flabbergasted by how many of these artists I've had the pleasure to see in concert!
The photographs took me back to times and places I'd completely forgotten about: The Tubes playing in a small Greenwich Village club; Elton John & Billy Joel performing at Madison Square Garden; Todd Rungren, oh my, Todd Rungren, Debra Harry and Blondie at Max's Kansas City; and the fabulous and flamboyant Freddy Mercury of Queen!
