Kitten Thrown Into Street From Car In El Segundo
El Segundo police are seeking a suspect who threw a kitten from a car into traffic.

EL SEGUNDO - Police were seeking information Wednesday about a person who threw a kitten from a car into traffic in El Segundo.
The suspect threw the cat out of the car on Monday about 9:25 a.m. into the street near Continental Boulevard and Grand Avenue, where it was hit by another car, according to the El Segundo Police Department.
"A witness was near Continental Blvd/Grand Ave when someone in the car in front of her opened the driver side door," police said. "Someone inside of the car threw a small grey kitten out into the street before continuing southbound on Continental Blvd."

The witness stopped to help the kitten and called police. When police arrived they took the injured kitten to an animal hospital for treatment where it is now recovering.
No immediate suspect description was available and investigators are turning to the public for help.

"The initial witness was unable to provide us with a description of the suspect or his/her car,' police said. "We are looking for additional witnesses who may be able to provide more information about this crime."
