Volunteer at the Torrance Farmers Market
Every Saturday 12 pm - 2 pm. Volunteer to collect donations of unsold produce at the Farmers Market. 100% goes to local food banks.
Food Forward recovers good fresh and healthy food that would otherwise get thrown away and donates it to local food banks. We are at the Torrance Farmers Market every Saturday from 12 pm - 2pm collecting donations from Farmers who have extra fruits and vegetables at the end of the market. All of the produce we collect gets donated to food banks in the Torrance area.
Volunteers pass out boxes to farmers, collect boxes full of fresh produce, and weigh and sort produce to be donated. All you need are comfortable work clothes and shoes. Email volunteer@foodforward.org or go to http://foodforward.org/events/ to sign up!
