2 Teen Inmates Escape SMC Correctional Camp
Sheriff's officials said the inmates were back in custody Monday morning.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — San Mateo County sheriff's officials say they've found two teens who escaped from a juvenile correctional facility over the weekend. The teens apparently walked away from Camp Glenwood sometime Sunday.
Officials learned that the two teenagers were missing from the La Honda facility at 9:45 p.m., but it wasn't immediately clear when they took off.
Sheriff's deputies headed out to the camp's location and searched the area through the night. Around 9:30 a.m. Monday, the SMC sheriff's department announced the duo was found.

Camp Glenwood is a facility for "high-risk young men who are facing extended detention at the Youth Services Center." The county describes the location as a place that "provides a structured residential setting with services addressing the boys’ serious issues around education, behavior, family, substance abuse, and gangs."
