• Redwood City's 21-Story Senior Tower Clears Design Review, Heads to Planning Commission (newsbreak.com) — A 21‑story senior housing tower proposed for 910 Marshall Street has cleared Redwood City's Architectural Advisory Committee and now heads to the Planning Commission for final approval. If built, it would be the city's tallest building, adding hundreds of senior and assisted‑living units near Kaiser but raising concerns about traffic and the lack of designated affordable units.
   

• Century 16 saved: Mountain View movie theater to reopen under new ownership (newsbreak.com) — Redwood City moviegoers may notice staffing changes at the Cinemark Century Redwood Downtown 20 and XD as employees from Mountain View's Century 16 shift there during a temporary closure. The Mountain View theater will shut down until December for renovations under new ownership, raising questions about future attendance while longtime patrons hope the refreshed cinema keeps its historic feel.
