There will be a screening of “Race to Nowhere” at the McKinley School Auditorium at 7 p.m. Across the nation, there will be hundreds of screenings of the documentary that illustrates the high-pressure culture that has invaded schools and children’s lives, creating an unhealthy, disengaged generation of youth. Time to start your spring cleaning! Family Connections is accepting items for their Annual Rummage sale on Saturday, May 7, at 350 Blomquist. They will be accepting donations on May 5 & 6. T&H Building Supply and the Redwood City Rotary Club are sponsoring the donation drive that will benefit low income families.

Families United through Literacy & Learning will be holding its graduation celebration at 6 p.m. in the Hoover Elementary cafeteria. Families have been working for months to learn the language and practice writing in order to support their children’s achievements in school. Attention all you music lovers! Twenty-three glorious nights of Music on the Square are coming to Courthouse Square kicks off at 6 p.m. The city of Redwood City and its sponsors are hosting a range of talented musicians. Check out the full show schedule at www.redwoodcityevents.com. Reserved seats are available for $250 which will include a single seat each Friday night.
