Body Washes Onto SMC Beach: Police

The coroner's office was working to identify the person.

PACIFICA, CA — Pacifica police are investigating the death of a man whose body washed ashore onto a local beach over the weekend. The man has not yet been publicly identified.

According to police, authorities were called around 7:30 a.m. Sunday to the beach area below 800 Palmetto Avenue.

"Upon arrival of police and fire personnel, the body of a male was pulled from the surf and pronounced deceased," police said in a news release.
