'Chaotic' Scene at Peninsula Triple Stabbing: Police

Police say they've arrested a man in connection to the attack at a downtown bar over the weekend.

SAN MATEO, CA – A San Mateo man was jailed Tuesday without bail in connection to a triple stabbing outside a local bar, according to police and jail reports.

Twenty-one-year-old Angelo Manolakis is accused of attacking three people outside San Mateo's Sky Lounge Bar around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say they responded to that scene on report of a disturbance.

"Officers quickly arrived at a chaotic scene and located three victims suffering from stab wounds," San Mateo police said in a news release. "As officers saturated the area, a responding officer located the suspect several blocks away thanks to witnesses providing a good suspect description."

Manolakis was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and public intoxication.

All three victims were taken to a hospital but are expected to survive their wounds.
