Expect Delays As Peninsula Firefighters Burn Relay Makes Way Up El Camino Real

The Annual Peninsula Firefighters Burn Relay may cause traffic delays on Thursday, August 31st.

REDWOOD CITY-WOODSIDE, CA - From the County of San Mateo: On Thursday August 31st the Annual Peninsula Firefighters Burn Relay will be starting in Mountain View on El Camino Real, and proceeding north to San Francisco, stopping at several fire stations along the way.

There will be many antique and modern fire engines, and other emergency vehicles in the procession, with their lights and sirens activated to draw attention to this cause. The event starts at 8:00 AM and should be in San Francisco around 5:00 PM.

As the relay proceeds there may be locations where cross traffic is delayed as the fire engines and emergency vehicles pass.
