Fire Breaks Out In SMC Electronics Manufacturing Facility
Fire crews were dispatched and Menlo Park police officers helped evacuate about 60 workers from the building.
MENLO PARK, CA — A one-alarm fire was quickly brought under control early Friday morning at a Menlo Park electronics manufacturing company after the fire sparked late Thursday night, fire officials said.
Calls about smoke coming from the roof at TE Connectivity, formerly Tyco Electronics, a large, single-story industrial building at 305 Constitution Drive, came in about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the Menlo Park Fire Protection District.
Fire crews were dispatched and Menlo Park police officers helped evacuate about 60 workers from the building. The fire was brought under control about 12:20 a.m. Friday.
