Crews say they made quick work of capping the leak, and are already working on repairs. [BREAKING]

REDWOOD CITY, CA – A gas main break has been reported in the Redwood City area, officials say.
The break was first reported at 10 a.m. in the area of Madrone and Park--near the intersection of state Highways 82 and 84., according to PG&E Spokeswoman Andrea Menniti.
"A construction crew unrelated to PG&E was digging in the area and damaged a half-inch plastic natural gas service line which serves one home," she told Patch.

Menniti said the incident serves as a good reminder for the public to always call 811 before digging and follow safe practices. The agency will mark all lines free of cost.
