Mayor Encourages Mandarin in Sequoia, Possibly Portuguese

In the growing global economy, arming Redwood City students with a repertoire of languages can only help them in the future, he said.

With the rapidly expanding Chinese business economy, Mayor Jeff Ira said acquiring some familiarity with this language would be an incredible asset for students who will eventually enter the job market.
