• Bystander, Drone Help Find Nonverbal Child Wandering Near Traffic In Redwood City: Police (patch.com) — A nonverbal 10-year-old student who left a Redwood City elementary school and ran near traffic on Woodside Road was quickly found unharmed after a passerby called 911 and police deployed a drone. Officers tracked the child from the air until they safely intercepted him and stayed until his mother arrived, underscoring how community vigilance and new technology are improving local safety.
