The man was responsible for trafficking methamphetamine between California and Texas, officials said.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A San Mateo man was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Friday for methamphetamine trafficking between California and Texas, prosecutors said.
U.S. District Judge Susan Illston sentenced Alexander Mendoza, 36, after he pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and five counts of distribution and possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.
As a part of his plea agreement in Aug. 2017, he also admitted to distributing the drugs between Northern California and Texas and to shipping the drugs through the mail five different times, according to a U.S. Attorney spokesman.
