RECORDING: Selby Lane Student Calls 911 After Teacher Curses, Throws Desk

Listen to the Selby Lane eighth grader's call to 911 last Tuesday after her math teacher, John Haynes, allegedly became frustrated, a few inches and slammed it on the floor.

She called police at 2:26 p.m. and stayed on the phone for roughly 11 minutes, sounding very distraught, even crying at times, Atherton Police Lt. Joe Wade said.

The Redwood City School District teacher is on administrative leave and the Board discussed what action to take in a closed session Wednesday night.

UPDATE Thursday, Mar. 10, 11:02 a.m.: The Redwood City School District has not released any information regarding any action taken.
