Recycling Big Rig Overturns, Prompting Hwy 92 Closure: CHP
The roadway was closed for approximately 2 hours for cleanup. [UPDATED]

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A recycling truck overturned Friday morning on a major Peninsula highway, prompting a temporary full closure of the roadway, the California Highway Patrol says. The road was fully closed for approximately two hours before it reopened at 1:20 p.m., according to the CHP.
"Highway 92 is closed in both directions at Upper Highway 35 (Skyline Blvd) due to an earlier big rig collision," San Mateo County officials said in an emailed alert Friday around 11:15 a.m. "It is unknown when the roadway will re-open. Please use alternate routes."
CHP Officer Art Montiel said that CHP received the call at 7:38 a.m. that a truck was flipped just east of Skyline Boulevard. After arriving, officers provided one-way traffic control to ease commute driving.

Tow trucks are at the scene right now trying to get the truck upright, which forced the CHP to close traffic in both directions.
"The first attempt to upright it was unsuccessful," Montiel told Patch. "It's a big truck and it's fully loaded."
