Redwood City Area Shooting Under Investigation
Sheriff's officials are asking for help in the case.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — San Mateo County sheriff's officials are investigating a shooting that happened in the unincorporated part of the county near Redwood City on Wednesday night, the agency reported Thursday.
Around 9:20 p.m., one person was shot at in the 2700 block of Westmoreland Avenue — near El Camino Real and Woodside Road — in the North Fair Oaks area, according to sheriff's Det. Rosemerry Blankswade. The suspect or suspects fired into "an inhabited dwelling," reports show.
"One person was injured with non-life-threatening wounds," the detective said in a news release. "We are asking for anyone who might have information about this incident to call Detective Boragno at 650-363-4064 or we encourage you to call the anonymous tip line at 1800-547-2700."
