Report: 1 Hurt as Car Crashes Into Downtown Peninsula Storefront
The weekend crash happened in the San Carlos area, according to fire officials.

SAN CARLOS, CA – Officials are investigating a crash that ended with a vehicle inside a downtown San Carlos building over the weekend.
The incident was first reported at 1:24 p.m Saturday at 652 Laurel St., according to a dispatcher with the Redwood City Fire Department. The building is currently vacant, undergoing renovations.
Police told NBC Bay Area news that a driver, 78, stepped on the gas instead of brake, sending the sedan right into the building. The person was hospitalized, but the injuries were non-life-threatening, according to the news agency.
