Peninsula Sea Cave Rescue Caught On Camera: WATCH

BREAKING: Coast Guard officials say a woman and man were trapped due to the rising tide.

PACIFICA, CA — The Coast Guard rescued two people stranded in a cave at Mussel Rock in Daly City Monday afternoon, and it was all caught on camera. The helicopter crew from San Francisco hovered overhead to pluck the man and woman from the rocky area with waves crashing around them. The pair was ultimately hoisted over to San Mateo Fire Department medical personnel who were waiting nearby.

The Coast Guard says they received a call at 2:50 p.m. of a man and woman stranded in a cave due to the high tide and the woman suffering a leg injury. Coast Guard officials said the two told them the cave was
accessible at low tide, but because of the woman's leg injury, they weren't able to make it out of the cave before the high tide arrived.

The duo were safe by 3:50 p.m., according to Coast Guard officials.
