We are the only organization that delivers essential services and personalized support to connect the people living in poverty among us to the full range of resources and services they need. More than just ensuring our clients are fed, clothed, healthy, and housed, we help them create their own stability and remain an active, successful part of the community. Over recent years, more and more families in San Mateo County have been thrust into poverty. From the COVID-19 pandemic, to increasing wealth inequality, to the impacts of inflation and the housing crisis, the financial pressures on our neighbors have grown. WOODSIDE, CA -- Two people got away with an undisclosed amount of cash in an armed bank robbery this morning at a Chase bank in Woodside, San Mateo County sheriff's officials said. At about 11 a.m. two people entered the bank at 2977 Woodside Road where they approached bank staff and demanded money. The suspects got away in a vehicle. Sheriff's officials said no one was injured. Sheriff's deputies are working with the FBI to investigate the robbery. Anyone with information about it is asked to get in touch with Detective Jesse Myers at (650) 363-4050 or at jrmyers@smcgov.org.
