VIDEO: Class of 2011 Bids Sequoia High Farewell

Principal Bonnie Hansen wasn't about to just hand the Class of 2011 their diplomas on Friday. They would first have to stand and revel in the applause of hundreds of proud parents, relatives and friends.

From the first to graduate high school to those who had graduate with International Baccalaureate diplomas, students were called out not just for their academic excellence, but for their hard work and unwavering character.

"I'm very sad to lose you, but the world is lucky to receive you," Principal Bonnie Hansen told the Sequoia High School Class of 2011. "You may now turn your tassels."
