Video: K-8 School District Candidates Speak to Patch Audience

The League of Women Voters hosted a candidates forum Wednesday night.

California is facing one of the harshest education funding crises since the Great Depression, and all schools and administrators must . But simultaneously, teachers, parents and volunteers are thinking outside the classroom and establishing partnerships with third party organizations.

School board members must make the tough budget decisions, but also support non-conventional thinking to ensure that students are getting a high quality education, equivalent to that their of neighboring districts .

The League of Women Voters hosted this free forum to encourage voters to get engaged and make informed decisions. The League also partnered with Patch to reach a larger online audience who could not physically make it to the forum.
