Video: Redwood City Runs for the Kids
The inaugural OktobeRun was a hit with almost 900 participants.
Community members, some dressed in traditional German garb, crossed the finish line Saturday morning exhausted, but completely satisfied knowing that the students were benefiting from the fundraiser.
This year, the Redwood City Education Foundation and countless community members organized a Half Marathon/5k run. Then after the grueling run, runners could sample delicious beers and bratwurst at the .
“I will brag about our district. We had so many teachers and staff run!” said the 1st place female finisher, teacher Shannon Cody, who couldn’t even recall her own impressive time. “This is just an amazing event.”
