VIDEO: Selby Lane Eagles Soar through Promotion Ceremony
The Class of 2011 proudly completed eighth grade and will move onto high school.
There were laughs, cheers and tears Thursday afternoon on the Selby Lane campus.
As Principal Carolyn Williams' last year as Selby Lane's principal, she gave an emotional thank you for the wonderful years she had served as principal.
"But I will check up on you," she promised.

Student body president Celine Camino thanked Williams for her dedication to the students and the impact she had on their lives.
"You're one of the most important people in our lives," Camino said. "Selby Lane will miss you."

Though the Selby Lane students still have four years ahead of them in high school, they weren't afraid to look far into the future.Student speakers each shared their dreams and aspirations, from attending UC Davis to become a veteranarian to attending law school.
