OAKLAND, CA -- As crews search for dozens of people feared lost in the Oakland warehouse fire that has claimed at least nine lives, the community is rallying to help the victims and their loved ones through the tragedy.

Little is yet known about those killed or missing in the tragedy. Flames tore through a warehouse known as the "Ghost Ship," during an electronic music dance party Friday hosted by the Los Angeles Record label, 100 % Silk. The fast moving fire trapped dozens, leaving friends and family members frantically trying to find each other Saturday.

Gov. Jerry Brown also sent words of support.

“Our thoughts are with the entire city in this difficult time & we extend our condolences to the family & friends of those lost,” tweeted the governor.

The record label that hosted the party described the community as a tight knit arts community.
